This summer, a beloved Seiko design that was popular around the world from the late 1960s to the early 1970s is being reissued in the Seiko 5 Sports collection.

Reproduced in a size and shape as close as possible to the original, the reissued design is powered by the tried-and-trusted Caliber 4R36 automatic movement. The new creation strikes a perfect balance between the nostalgic design of the original and the modern watchmaking technology of today.

Dial: Produced in two colors, black(SBSA271) and silver(SBSA269), the dial closely follows that of the classic design, with the original Seiko 5 Sports logo revived at the 12 o’clock position.

Bracelet: In the re-creation, the unique look of the original bracelet has been preserved, though it has been updated with contemporary materials for a fit and feel tailored for daily wear.

Case back: The case back is marked with the words "Limited Edition" and the serial number.

Strap: As a special feature of the limited edition, the watch comes with a sporty retro leather strap reminiscent of the time when the original model was popular.

Box: The commitment to classic design continues with the watch’s special packaging, which pays homage to the box that came with the original model.
