A rare Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust reference 16013 model with a glossy, or porcelain white dial with eighteen carat white gold stick markers. The case is made in stainless steel and features an eighteen carat white gold bezel. The watch is powered by a Rolex, Swiss made, twenty seven jewel automatic calibre 3035 movement that powered all of the acrylic crystal Datejust quick set date models. These models can be told apart from one another as they do not have the earlier, characteristic, 'pie pan' style dial. The watch is fitted to its original Rolex Jubilee stainless steel bracelet with removable links in place, which, if needed, can be removed to make the bracelet smaller. The watch was made circa 1985 with serial number 888XXXX. The number 8 in China is seen to be very lucky as it sounds similar to that of the word for "wealth" or "prosper". Also the symbol bears close resemblance to that of the mathematical infinity symbol, which is also important for being seen to bring continued wealth and good fortune. The watch is in original condition, and comes with a Foundwell one year warranty against mechanical failure.
